Until Saturday September 14, 2024, an exhibition of nostalgic black and white photo prints from Racinginthepast.com can be seen at Gallery Aaldering in Brummen.
Racinginthepast
The team at Racinginthepast.com has a passion for racing and aviation. With their collection they bring the nostalgic moments from the past back to the present. Looking at the photos makes you feel like reliving old times.
Well-known circuits, races and drivers
The photos on display at Gallery Aaldering all relate to races and drivers from the past. For example, the legendary duo Juan Manuel Fangio/Stirling Moss at the start of Le Mans in 1955. Or a beautiful Mercedes Benz 300 SLR at the start of the Mille Miglia 1955 in Brescia. Or a great photo of 3 mechanics in white racing overalls at work at the 1954 Grand Prix on the Nürbürgring circuit. Or a beautiful close-up of Carel Godin De Beaufort at the Italian Grand Prix in 1963
The exhibition also includes a number of enormous Max Verstappen paintings by the artist Eric-Jan Kremer.
The Dutch Kremer (1962, Amsterdam) is known as one of the best Formula 1 artists. His works are characterized by an unparalleled sense of dynamics and expression. They beautifully convey the speed, power and energy of the sports he paints, bringing it to life with bold brushstrokes and vibrant colours. For sale
The prints were released in a limited edition, size 50×70 cm, can be ordered for €50 each via the website www.racinginthepast.com
