"In 1975 I attended my first Grand Prix at Zandvoort and I have followed it ever since. I have been photographing motorsport since 1978 with a long break between 1986 and 2015 due to work and the children. I have also been following the McLaren team since 1975 as a fan of Emmerson Fittipaldi and James Hunt. In 1978 I had the first McLaren fan club was founded and for this I received a special honorary membership of the McLaren team in 2018. I am one of the 32 McLaren Papaya members and the ambassador of the Team in the Netherlands.
In 2019 I published a photo book with mainly photos of the team in and around the pits and paddock.”
“In addition to Formula 1, I also photograph other classes and visit special car (sports) events such as the Festival of Speed at Goodwood.”
The photos in the exhibition were mainly taken in the last few years. On his website www.ge-learning.nl you can view more photos, all of which can be purchased as a print. The maximum edition per photo is 3 so that the buyer always has a unique image.
