During the most beautiful time of the year until July 3, the work of Emeke Buitelaar hangs at Gallery Aaldering. Her colorful art was created through attention to playing and creating. Color, movement, fantasy and feeling are ingredients for the work she makes. Nature, colorful people, smells and atmospheres are still a source of inspiration.
Emeke's colourful works are displayed among the world-famous classic cars. Her paintings include scenes of classic cars amid bulb fields and windmills. One of the works, ‘Eendje’, displayed on the first floor, won fourth prize at the La Palette Europeenne exhibition in Paris. Works on other themes, such as geishas and encounters, are displayed upstairs and downstairs.
In 2003, Emeke, together with Appel and Corneille, was one of the best eight artists in the Netherlands. She toured the roads with her painted Chrysler and attracted a lot of attention! You can watch a video of this in Gek op Wielen.
Her contribution to the television program “De Nieuwe Vermeer” hangs to the left of the entrance. Very appropriate behind the large fire engine…. Venus still had a fire to put out.
In addition to the many exhibitions at home and abroad, Emeke prefers to paint in her own studio in Brummen.
