Until October 2, 2021, in addition to classic cars, Gallery Aaldering will host an exhibition of paintings by Anne and Leontine Vegter from Zutphen.
The exhibition has the theme "Idols '60-'70" with portraits of icons such as Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, Marilyn Monroe, Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley and Johan Cruyff.
Leontine Vegter-Mackaay makes oil paintings.
"I would like to put a face on the canvas on what moves me most in life. It relaxes me by focusing on the canvas, with music in the background, and at the same time I experience and process acquired emotions and experiences. This is especially reflected in family portraits, but also in portraits of people who have ever touched me or still touch me."
Anne Vegter makes oil paintings, conceptual and visual work, antique art, photography and poems.
"People are herd animals. To "survive" it is very important to (un)consciously share underlying emotions with each other. This is mainly done through body language and especially with the eyes. By having my work viewed, I want to challenge the viewer to really feel their own feelings and to think about them for a moment. In this way, becoming aware of your feelings can influence your own worldview and art can perhaps give you a little extra art of living."

Visit to the exhibition
You are very welcome to visit the exhibition. Gallery Aaldering is open from Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. On Saturday the doors are open from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
